Plantronics Delivers new Unified Communications Suite for Work in the Office or On-the-Go
Plantronics today announced that Frost & Sullivan has awarded the company a Visionary Innovation Award in recognition of its accomplishments in the Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) and Customer–Care markets. The announcement of this award comes during Plantronics’ local launch of its new mobility solutions including the Voyager Legend UC headset, Blackwire 700 Series USB crossover Bluetooth headset and Calisto 620 cordless speakerphone. Each device allows users to work across a number of mobile devices including their smart phone, laptop and tablet providing greater levels of mobility.
Frost & Sullivan defines Visionary Innovation as a company’s ability to identify key trends and address the unmet needs of individuals with solutions that can improve business performance as well as work and personal lives. Plantronics’ focus on software development and contextually-aware communications that enable its devices to react based on the user’s status, availability, location and other contextual factors has been key to the company winning this award.
“Plantronics appreciates this recognition for the contributions it has made in providing easy-to-use tools which enable greater mobility and flexibility in the workforce,” said Graeme Gherbaz, Managing Director, Plantronics Australia and New Zealand. “Businesses must equip their mobile workforce with solutions that allow them to communicate well regardless of where they are. Plantronics ensures the user experience on any unified communications device is as intuitive and seamless as possible; Frost & Sullivan’s award recognises this and our new product line deliver on it.”
Voyager Legend UC – The next generation of an iconic communications device
The award-winning Voyager Legend™ UC headset is the unified communications version of the Voyager Legend headset. This enterprise solution is ideal for the mobile professional, with multi-device connectivity that allows users to connect the headset to a laptop, mobile phone or tablet.
Frost & Sullivan has identified the Voyager Legend UC as an innovative solution addressing the key mega trends. It was also awarded two CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards, the Voyager Legend UC works intuitively to your needs. It understands how and when you want to talk, with industry-first Smart Sensor™ technology that reacts when you put the head set on, allowing users to quickly take calls without having to click. The headset also features three precisely tuned microphones and enhanced DSP that optimise your voice and minimise noise caused by wind, movement and background sounds. Tapping the voice command button conveniently provides battery level, connection status, and more.
“With increased talk and standby time, precisely-tuned audio, voice controls and advanced charging accessories, the award-winning Voyager Legend UC is the only headset that mobile professionals need to keep up with their busy schedules and demands,” said Graeme Gherbaz, Managing Director, Plantronics Australia and New Zealand.
“The fact that it’s been placed in two innovation categories at the recent CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards – for Wireless Handset Accessories and Computer Accessories – is a testament to the product’s performance.”
