"Plantronics is a great partner for Unified Communications deployments because they offer the industry’s broadest portfolio of high-quality UC audio solutions that our customers love—which speeds implementation and reduces costs"

Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE: PLT), today expanded its Connect Partner Program to include solution providers and systems integrators focused on Unified Communications (UC), a burgeoning global market that Forrester Research forecasts will reach $14.5 billion by 2015.

The Connect Solution Provider (SP) level is designed to help partners with expertise in multiple technology solution sets such as Unified Communications increase revenue growth by offering new business opportunities, full sales and campaign support, and advanced product training. Now, solution providers can easily outfit their UC customers with Plantronics audio solutions, enabling them to take full advantage of the collaboration and productivity benefits of UC.

FusionStorm, a Plantronics partner and national provider of IT products, support and services, is actively involved in Unified Communications implementations. “Plantronics is a great partner for Unified Communications deployments because they offer the industry’s broadest portfolio of high-quality UC audio solutions that our customers love—which speeds implementation and reduces costs,” said Tony Balistrieri, vice president of Partner Strategy, FusionStorm. “The new Solution Provider program has aided our UC deployments because we’re always up-to-date on Plantronics’ new UC products and trained accordingly. Working with a reliable, trusted vendor has resulted in new revenue opportunities and more satisfied customers.”

This new partner level is built to optimize the experience for solutions providers in these key ways:

  • Business development and sales support for campaign participation, market development funds (MDF), sample programs, tradeshow event materials and involvement in the Channel Employee Purchase Program.
  • Sales and marketing resources including Plantronics online collateral library, marketing content and sales aids
  • Ongoing communications delivered by ConnectNews Solution Provider Edition and special Plantronics announcements
  • Education and training through sales and technical training, events, webinar and online training
  • Service and care, pre- and post sales support with a customer care hotline, dedicated partner technical assistance
  • Advance Product Replacement and best-in-class warranties

“Plantronics has always been a channel-focused company and we treat channel partners as one of our most valuable assets” said Cathy Timmerman, senior director of Field and Channel Marketing, Plantronics. “Unified Communications is the next great frontier in business collaboration and we strive to ensure our partners trust us to support them with marketing tools and educational resources while providing quality audio products for their customers.”
